Our Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Herzl Hefter, is a graduate of Yeshiva University where he learned under the tutelage of Rav Yerucham Gorelikזצ“ל and Rav Yosef Dov Soloveichik זצ”ל and received smicha at Yeshivat Har Etzion where he studied under Rav Aharon Lichtenstein for ten years. Rav Hefter has taught the Kollel fellows at Yeshivat Hamivtar, Yeshiva University’s Gruss Kollel and he served as the head of the prestigious Bruria Scholars Program at Midreshet Lindenbaum. He also taught at Yeshivat Mekor Chaim inMoscow and served as Rosh Kollel of the Torah M’Zion Kollel ,Ohio. Rav Hefter combines a passion for Lithuanian style Talmudic analysis with the study of Hassidut.

Dr. Yakov Azriel, wrote his PhD on the stories of Rabbi Nachman of Braslav. He has published four full-length books of poetry: Threads From A Coat Of Many Colors: Poems on Genesis (2005), In The Shadow Of A Burning Bush: Poems on Exodus (2008), Beads For The Messiah’s Bride: Poems on Leviticus (2009), and Swimming In Moses’ Well: Poems of Numbers (2011). In addition, Dr. Azriel has published over 170 poems in journals and magazines in the United States, the United Kingdom and Israel, and his poems have won thirteen different awards in international poetry competitions. He was twice awarded fellowships from the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture for his poetry.

Rabbi Dr. Nathan Lopes Cardozo, world-renowned for his highly original insights into Judaism and his ability to communicate the relevance of Jewish values and practice in today’s complicated world. Rabbi Noam Himelstein has served as the Rosh Kollel of the Torah Mitzion Kollel in Melbourne,Australia and OrotCollege for Women. Rabbi Himelstein is graduate of Herzog Teacher’s College, with an M.A. from Lander College in Jerusalem.
Dr. Sam Lebens holds a PhD from the University of London (Birkbeck College), in metaphysics and logic. A graduate of Yeshivat Hakotel, Yeshivat Hamivtar and Yeshivat Har Etzion, Sam has a passion for Jewish philosophy as it finds itself in the cut and thrust of the Talmud, and in the great works of medieval thought, from Saadya Gaon down to Crescas. Rabbi David Silverstein received his smicha from Yeshiva University as well as his MA in Talmud from the Bernard Revel Graduate School. Rabbi Silverstein served as the director of the Overseas Program at the Yeshivat Hesder in Petach Tikvah.
Rabbi Shmuel Klitsner, author of Wrestling Jacob: Deception, Identity, and Freudian Slips in Genesis, has taught Bible and Talmud the past 25 years at Midreshet Lindenbaum, Pardes Institute and Yeshivat Maaleh Gilboa. A student of the late Nechama Leibowitz, Rabbi Klitsner has been involved in some of the most innovative educational projects in Israel since his aliyah 34 years ago – including the award winning Hanukah animation Lights, the School for Torah and the Arts (where he served for 6 years as head of Jewish Studies), and as co-author of the two volume educational novel The Lost Children of Tarshish
