Announcing a unique learning framework

The Har’el Beit Midrash

for Men and Women

If you have studied in yeshiva or midrasha in the past and are searching for a serious, mature and open environment to continue your learning, the Har’el Beit Midrash program is for you.

Rabbi Herzl Hefter, Rosh Beit Midrash:In the postmodern era when authority is suspect, it is insufficient to base religious commitment upon obedienceDSC00710 (1024x768) alone. Our program will nurture a healthy sense of autonomy alongside a deep sense of respect and awe of tradition.

Our curriculum is designed to impart an understanding of the fundamental principles of halakhah as well as greater meta-issues of law, spirituality and philosophy. Our studies will help us to become dynamic figures in the rabbinate, education and in the society at large.

Context: Yoreh De’ah

Where: Rachov Lifschitz 12, Baka, Jerusalem

When: Tuesdays 6:30–8:00 PM.

Who are we? We are a group of men and women devoted to the Jewish people.  Some of us are veteran teachers, committed to educating the next generation of Jewish youth. Some of us are involved in other fields of work. We are driven by a commitment to learn Torah and impact the community. The goal of our new program is to train leaders with both a healthy sense of autonomy and a deep respect and awe of tradition.
